Police Officer's Plea
During the February Crime View meeting an officer interupted the statistical presentation when the vehicle burlary item was being presented and remarked to all in the briefing room that it was his wish that Neighborhood Watch be tasked to get out the word to help cut down the incidents of vehicular window smash crimes. For January the report number was 15.
Leaving any item in full view inside your car such as purse, briefcase, laptop, GPS unit may enticed criminals to break the vehicle window to snatch items out of your car. This type of crime is so easily prevented if you remember to slip those items out of sigh - please!
Next, make sure you lock your vehicle when you leave it unattended!
